Mr. Himanshu Garg

Chief Financial Officer, GCC

Mr. Himanshu Garg

About

Himanshu Garg is a global healthcare finance and commercial leader with over 30 years of experience building and transforming businesses across the full healthcare ecosystem — from pharmaceuticals and medical devices to hospitals and healthcare networks. Over the course of his career, he has lived and worked in Delhi, Mumbai, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Singapore and Dubai, taking on CFO, COO, and strategic operational roles that have consistently placed him at the intersection of financial performance and business growth.

What defines Himanshu’s career is not just the breadth of his experience, but the nature of the assignments he has been entrusted with — turnarounds, new market entries, large-scale transformations, post-merger integrations, and capability building in complex, matrixed, multinational environments. He is known as a trusted business partner to CEOs and leadership teams, someone who brings clarity, composure and commercial sharpness to high-stakes situations.

A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, Himanshu has consistently championed gender diversity throughout his leadership journey — hiring and developing senior women leaders, building inclusive and high-performing teams across cultures, and fostering environments where open dialogue and difference of opinion are actively encouraged.

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Delhi
  • Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India

He further deepened his strategic leadership capabilities through a Management Development Programme — The CFO: Becoming a Strategic Partner — Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

His core areas of expertise span financial planning and analytics, revenue cycle management, working capital and cash flow optimization, supply chain management, risk and compliance, cost transformation, and go-to-market strategy. He brings particular strength in ERP implementation, shared services leadership, channel strategy, and driving digitalization and process automation across complex organizations.

Professional Journey

Himanshu began his career at Price Waterhouse as an Audit Senior before moving into industry with Eli Lilly & Co., where he spent five years across India and Hong Kong in finance, financial planning & analysis, and new products planning roles across the APAC region.

He joined Guidant Inc. (later acquired by Boston Scientific) as CFO for South Asia, where he led the transformation of India operations from a liaison office to a fully incorporated entity and oversaw SAP implementation.

His most formative chapter came at Medtronic International, where he spent 15 years in a succession of increasingly senior and diverse roles across India, the Netherlands, Singapore and beyond. He served as CFO for South Asia, Director of Finance Shared Services Europe, Director of Process Improvements International, Director of Channel Strategy for the International region, CFO for South East Asia, and ultimately CFO for MITG Asia Pacific — Medtronic’s largest business unit in the region with revenues of $1.4B. He also led Enterprise Excellence for Asia Pacific as Senior Director, delivering approximately $40M in cost savings through innovative go-to-market models and operational transformation.

Following Medtronic, Himanshu joined Medcare Hospitals & Clinics (part of Aster DM Healthcare) as CFO and Head of Revenue Cycle Management, where he drove a significant improvement in financial and operational performance prior to joining KIMSHEALTH GCC as Group CFO with additional responsibilities of RCM and Procurement.
