Known Symptoms
- Redness and tearing of the affected eye.
- Itching, burning, or irritation around the eye.
- Sticky discharge and crusting of eyelashes in the morning.
- Sensitivity to light or discomfort in bright conditions.
Known Causes
- Bacterial or viral infections, including adenovirus or cold viruses.
- Allergic reactions to pollen, dust, or pet dander.
- Irritation from contact lenses, smoke, or chlorine exposure
- Poor hygiene or sharing contaminated towels and eye products
Care
- Avoid touching or rubbing your eyes to prevent worsening
- Wash your hands frequently and do not share towels
- Use the prescribed antibiotic or antihistamine eye drops as advised
- Seek prompt medical care if symptoms persist or worsen
