Known Symptoms

Red rashes, hives, or itching
Blisters, peeling, or skin detachment in severe cases
Fever, malaise, or general discomfort
Painful or sensitive skin

Known Causes

Medications such as antibiotics, anti-seizure drugs, NSAIDs, or chemotherapy agents
History of previous allergic reactions
Use of multiple medications or high doses
Individual sensitivity or genetic predisposition

Care

Clinical examination and assessment by a healthcare professional
Review of all current medications to identify the culprit drug
Skin biopsy in severe or unclear cases
Immediate discontinuation of the offending medication
Symptomatic treatment including topical corticosteroids, antihistamines, or systemic therapy for severe reactions
Close monitoring for systemic involvement (e.g., Stevens-Johnson syndrome or toxic epidermal necrolysis)
