Care Before the Procedure

Care During the Procedure

Care After the Procedure
- Use prescribed antimicrobial eye drops as directed by your doctor.
- Control pain with recommended medications and avoid rubbing the eye.

- Protect the eye from dust, water, or trauma during recovery.
Eligibility
- Individuals with suspected infectious keratitis not responding to empirical treatment requiring precise pathogen identification for targeted therapy.
- Patients presenting with corneal ulcers or stromal infiltrates where microbiological confirmation is essential before starting intensive therapy.
- Contact lens users with persistent corneal pain, redness, or vision changes suspicious for microbial keratitis.
- Individuals with recurrent corneal infections or atypical presentations where culture or PCR is needed for definitive diagnosis.
