Care Before the Procedure
- Inform doctor about ear pain, dizziness, or hearing loss.
- Report any history of ear surgery or perforation.
- Avoid self-cleaning or inserting objects into the ear.
- Follow doctor’s advice on ear drops, if prescribed.
Care During the Procedure
- Sit comfortably while ear is examined under magnification.
- Suction used to gently remove fluid or debris.
- Medicated packing placed if required.
- Inform clinician immediately if pain or vertigo occurs.
Care After the Procedure
- Keep ear dry and avoid water exposure.
- Use prescribed ear drops or medications.
- Do not remove ear packing unless instructed.
- Attend follow-up visits for packing removal or reassessment.
