Care Before the Procedure
- Avoid eating or drinking for a few hours if sedation is planned.
- Inform the doctor about allergies, medications, or bleeding disorders.
- Report recent infections or respiratory issues.
- Follow instructions for the nasal or throat anaesthetic if prescribed.
Care During the Procedure
- Sit upright or lie as instructed by the clinician.
- The endoscope is gently inserted through the nose or mouth.
- Minimal discomfort, pressure, or gagging may occur.
- Follow breathing instructions and report pain immediately.
Care After the Procedure
- Resume normal diet and activities unless advised.
- Throat may feel mild soreness; lozenges or warm fluids help.
- Avoid straining your voice for a short period if recommended.
- Discuss results and next steps with the ENT specialist.

- Patients with persistent hoarseness or voice changes.
- Individuals with chronic throat pain, cough, or swallowing difficulty.
- Suspected tumours or lesions in the larynx or pharynx.
- Monitoring post-surgical or post-treatment outcomes.
