Care Before the Procedure
- Inform clinician about neck, back, or spinal issues.
- Avoid heavy meals or alcohol before the maneuver.
- Wear comfortable clothing allowing free head and body movement.
- Report recent injuries or other medical conditions.
Care During the Procedure
- Follow instructions for head and body positioning carefully.
- Sit, lie back, and rotate as guided by the clinician.
- Mild dizziness or nausea may occur temporarily.
- Communicate any severe discomfort immediately.
Care After the Procedure
- Avoid sudden head movements for several hours if advised.
- Follow home maneuver instructions if recommended.
- Monitor for residual dizziness and report persistent symptoms.
- Attend follow-up if vertigo recurs or does not improve.
Eligibility
- Patients diagnosed with BPPV through Dix-Hallpike test.
- Individuals experiencing positional vertigo or brief spinning sensations.
- Those with recurrent dizziness triggered by head movements.
- Patients not responding to medications for vertigo.
