Care Before the Procedure
- Complete ENT evaluation and imaging (CT scan of sinuses).
- Discuss medications, allergies, and bleeding history.
- Avoid anticoagulants as instructed.
- Follow preoperative fasting instructions.
Care During the Procedure
- Performed under general anaesthesia.
- Endoscope inserted through the nasal passages to access the sinuses.
- Obstructions, polyps, or diseased tissue are removed.
- Surgeon preserves normal sinus structures while improving drainage.
Care After the Procedure
- Use saline nasal sprays or irrigation as advised.
- Avoid nose blowing, heavy lifting, or strenuous activity initially.
- Take prescribed medications including antibiotics or decongestants.
- Attend follow-up visits for healing and symptom assessment.
