Care Before the Procedure
- Inform the clinician about medications, allergies, or bleeding disorders prior to the surgery.
- Undergo required imaging or endometrial biopsy before hysteroscopic procedure.
- Avoid sexual intercourse, tampons, or vaginal medications prior to the procedure.
- Arrange transportation if sedation or anesthesia shall be administered.
Care During the Procedure
- Remain relaxed and follow instructions for proper positioning on the surgical table.
- Communicate any discomfort or pain immediately to the surgical team.
- Allow hysteroscope and surgical instruments to be safely inserted and guided.
- Trust anesthesia or sedation to minimize discomfort and ensure procedure success.
Care After the Procedure
- Expect mild cramping, spotting, or discharge for a few days.
- Avoid sexual intercourse, tampons, or vigorous activity for 1–2 weeks.
- Take prescribed medications or pain relief as directed by the clinician.
- Attend follow-up appointments to assess healing and resolution of the symptoms.

- Women with uterine polyps, fibroids, or adhesions requiring surgical removal or treatment.
- Individuals experiencing abnormal uterine bleeding not responding to medical therapy.
- Patients requiring diagnostic evaluation of the uterine cavity for infertility or recurrent miscarriage.
- Women in good overall health without active pelvic infections or contraindications to anesthesia.
