Care Before the Procedure
- Complete ENT evaluation and pre-anaesthetic assessment
- Inform the doctor about medications, allergies, or bleeding disorders
- Follow fasting instructions before surgery
- Discuss post-operative care and pain management
Care During the Procedure
- Performed under general anaesthesia
- Tonsils and/or adenoids surgically removed using standard techniques
- Bleeding controlled and airway maintained throughout
- Procedure duration usually 30–60 minutes
Care After the Procedure
- Maintain hydration and soft diet initially
- Take prescribed pain medications and antibiotics if advised
- Monitor for bleeding, fever, or difficulty breathing
