About the Speciality
Our Department of Plastic, Reconstructive & Microvascular Surgery offers comprehensive care for both functional and cosmetic needs, handling routine aesthetic procedures as well as complex reconstructions that other centres may refer to. Our surgeons are trained in microvascular “free tissue transfer” for head and neck reconstruction. We treat congenital differences, trauma and burns, cancer-related defects, hand conditions and complex vascular problems, and provide a full suite of cosmetic options from rhinoplasty and eyelid surgery to liposuction and non-surgical skin treatments. Supported by a craniofacial unit, dedicated burn services, lymphedema care and specialist operating theatres, the team works closely with oncologists, ENT, maxillofacial and rehabilitation specialists to plan each case.

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
Abdominoplasty, commonly known as a "tummy tuck," is a surgical procedure designed to remove excess skin and fat from the abdominal wall and tighten weakened or separated muscles (diastasis recti), resulting in a smoother, firmer abdominal profile.
Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that alters the shape, size, or function of the nose. It can be performed for cosmetic enhancement, functional improvement (e.g., breathing difficulties), or reconstructive purposes (e.g., trauma repair).
Reconstructive Surgery

Botox Injections (Botulinum Toxin Type A)
Botox injections involve the controlled administration of purified botulinum toxin type A, a purified neurotoxic protein derived from Clostridium botulinum, used in highly controlled medical doses, to temporarily inhibit acetylcholine release at neuromuscular junctions. This results in targeted muscle relaxation or paralysis, with both cosmetic and therapeutic applications.

Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)
Abdominoplasty, commonly known as a tummy tuck, is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and fat from the abdominal area while tightening the underlying muscles. It's particularly beneficial for individuals who have experienced significant weight loss or women who have had multiple pregnancies, as these situations often result in stretched skin and weakened abdominal muscles that cannot be improved through diet and exercise alone. The procedure creates a flatter, more toned abdominal profile and can dramatically improve body contour.
Blepharoplasty
Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure to correct excess eyelid skin, muscle, or fat for functional or cosmetic purposes. It can improve the visual field in cases of upper eyelid redundancy, reduce eyelid heaviness, or rejuvenate the eyelid appearance. The surgery involves making skin crease incisions on the upper or lower lids, removing or repositioning fat and skin, and is performed under local or general anaesthesia. Small dissolvable sutures are typically used. Preoperative assessment includes visual field testing, eyelid measurements, photography, and evaluation for anaesthesia fitness. Postoperative care ensures proper healing and minimal complications.
Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation, also known as augmentation mammoplasty, is a surgical procedure designed to increase breast size, improve breast shape, or restore breast volume lost after weight reduction or pregnancy. It's one of the most popular cosmetic procedures worldwide, with options including silicone gel implants, saline implants, or fat transfer. The procedure can address concerns such as naturally small breasts, loss of volume after pregnancy, asymmetry between breasts, or breast volume loss after significant weight loss.
Breast Reduction (Reduction Mammoplasty)
Breast reduction, or reduction mammoplasty, is a surgical procedure that removes excess breast fat, glandular tissue, and skin to achieve a breast size more proportionate to the body. It's commonly sought by women with overly large breasts (macromastia) who experience physical discomfort including chronic neck, shoulder, and back pain, skin irritation, poor posture, and limitations in physical activity. Beyond physical relief, breast reduction can significantly improve self-image and quality of life. The procedure can be performed on both women and men with gynecomastia (enlarged male breast tissue).
Facelift (Rhytidectomy)

Liposuction
Liposuction is a body contouring procedure that removes localized fat deposits from specific areas of the body that are resistant to diet and exercise. It's not a weight loss solution but rather a method to improve body proportions by targeting stubborn fat pockets. Common treatment areas include the abdomen, flanks ("love handles"), thighs, hips, back, arms, and chin. Modern liposuction techniques have evolved to include various technologies such as tumescent liposuction, ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL), and laser-assisted liposuction (LAL), each offering specific benefits for different fat types and body areas.
