About the Speciality
Our Cancer Center offers comprehensive, multidisciplinary cancer care within a quaternary hospital setting, ensuring that every form of therapy and supportive service is available under one roof. With dedicated departments in Medical, Surgical, Radiation and Hemato-Oncology, Nuclear Medicine, Genomics and Palliative Care, our experienced teams deliver evidence-based, personalised treatment through advanced technologies such as linear accelerators, PET-CT, NGS-based precision oncology, CAR-T therapy and bone marrow transplantation. Every patient’s case is reviewed by a multi-specialty tumour board to design an individualised, multimodality treatment plan, supported by outpatient daycare chemotherapy, advanced radiotherapy techniques, minimally invasive surgeries and targeted nuclear therapies. From early detection and screening to rehabilitation, survivorship and end-of-life care, we focus not only on treating cancer but on delivering compassionate, coordinated and patient-centred care at every stage.

Prostate Cancer
Prostate cancer is a malignant tumor that develops in the prostate gland, typically originating from the glandular cells (adenocarcinoma). It is the most common cancer in men and often has an indolent course, though aggressive variants can metastasize.
Pancreatic Cancer
Pancreatic cancer is a malignant tumor arising from the exocrine (ductal or acinar cells) or endocrine (islet cells) components of the pancreas. The majority (∼90%) are pancreatic ductal adenocarcinomas (PDAC), known for aggressive behavior and poor prognosis.
Ovarian Cancer
Ovarian cancer is a malignant tumor arising from the ovarian tissue, most commonly from the epithelial cells lining the ovary. It is the most lethal gynecologic malignancy due to frequent late-stage diagnosis.
Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL)
Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma is a heterogeneous group of malignancies originating from lymphocytes (B-cells, T-cells, or NK cells), characterized by uncontrolled proliferation and accumulation of these cells in lymph nodes, bone marrow, blood, or extranodal sites. It is distinct from Hodgkin lymphoma by the absence of Reed-Sternberg cells.
Lung Cancer
Lung cancer is a malignant tumor originating in the lung tissue, primarily from the epithelial lining of the bronchi. It is broadly categorized into two main types: non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) (∼85% of cases, including adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and large cell carcinoma) and small cell lung cancer (SCLC) (∼15%, characterized by rapid growth and early metastasis).
Leukemia
Leukemia is a group of hematologic malignancies characterized by the uncontrolled proliferation of abnormal white blood cells (leukocytes) in the bone marrow, leading to impaired hematopoiesis and potential infiltration of other organs.
Colorectal Cancer
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a malignancy originating from the epithelial lining of the colon or rectum, typically developing from precancerous adenomatous polyps through a stepwise progression of genetic mutations.
Breast Cancer
Breast cancer is a malignant tumor that originates in the cells of the breast, most commonly arising from the lobules (milk-producing glands) or ducts (milk passages). It can be invasive (spreading to surrounding tissues) or in situ (confined to the site of origin).

Breast and Gynecology Cancers
Breast and gynecologic cancers include malignancies affecting breast tissue and the female reproductive organs: Breast Cancer: Arises in breast tissue (ducts, lobules). Gynecologic Cancers: Ovarian Cancer: Often diagnosed late due to vague symptoms. Cervical Cancer: Linked to HPV infection; preventable with vaccination/screening. Uterine (Endometrial) Cancer: Most common gynecologic cancer; often presents with abnormal bleeding. Vulvar and Vaginal Cancers: Rare, but associated with HPV or chronic inflammation. These cancers require specialized, multidisciplinary care to address their unique biological behaviors, anatomical challenges, and impact on fertility, hormonal health, and quality of life.
Cancer Screening
Cancer screening involves testing apparently healthy individuals for early signs of cancer before symptoms develop. The goal is to detect precancerous changes or early-stage cancers when they are most treatable, often leading to better survival rates, less aggressive treatments, and improved quality of life. Screening is not a diagnosis but a tool to identify those who need further evaluation.
CNS, Head & Neck, Thoracic Tumors
This category encompasses cancers arising in critically complex anatomical regions: CNS Tumors: Primary brain and spinal cord tumors (e.g., glioblastoma, meningioma, medulloblastoma) or metastatic lesions. Head & Neck Tumors: Cancers of the oral cavity, pharynx, larynx, sinuses, salivary glands, and thyroid. Thoracic Tumors: Lung cancer (non-small cell vs. small cell), mesothelioma, thymoma, and tracheal cancers. These malignancies often require highly specialized, multimodal care due to their proximity to vital structures (e.g., brain, nerves, major vessels, airways) and their impact on critical functions like cognition, speech, swallowing, and respiration.
Hematological Malignancies
Hematological malignancies are cancers that originate in the blood-forming tissues, including the bone marrow and lymphatic system. These cancers disrupt the normal production and function of blood cells (red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets) and immune cells, leading to systemic symptoms and complications. They are broadly categorized into leukemias, lymphomas, and myelomas, each with distinct behaviors and treatment approaches.
Hormone Therapy
Hormone therapy (HT), also known as hormone replacement therapy (HRT), is a medical treatment used to supplement or regulate the body’s natural hormone levels. It is most commonly associated with managing symptoms of menopause but also addresses hormone deficiencies or imbalances due to aging, medical conditions, or surgeries.
